Open Position: Sales and Marketing Director

The application fields include nuclear & fossil power plants, petrochemical & chemical plants, steel casting, cement and water treatment plants.

We are looking for a Sales and Marketing Director, who will report to the company president and will be responsible for developing new businesses and strengthening the existing businesses. He or she will lead the Sales and Marketing department and achieve marketing and sales operational objectives by contributing marketing and sales information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; identifying trends; determining system improvements.

Job Responsibilities

  • Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for regions and territories (USA, China, and India); projecting expected sales volume and profit for system upgrade projects, spare parts & maintenance service
  • Prepare sales engineering reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing sales information and engineering and application trends
  • Determine annual order plans and gross-profit plans by implementing marketing strategies and analyzing trends and results
  • Report on key KPIs related to the top management and the opportunity waterfall in order to implement a consistent closed-loop between marketing and sales
  • Accomplish marketing and sales staff objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions
  • Seek marketing opportunities by identifying consumer requirements, defining market, competitor’s share, and competitor’s strengths and weaknesses
  • Analyze pipeline and lead data, deliver periodic reporting to the sales and marketing teams providing key business insights
  • Work closely with colleagues on cross-territory opportunities and other internal teams on marketing materials and cause studies
  • Improve product marketability and profitability by researching, identifying, and capitalizing on market opportunities; improving product packaging; coordinating new product developmen
  • Provide information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends
  • Work collaboratively with Project, R&D, V&V, and QA teams and fosters a culture of continuous process improvement
  • Create strong relationships with key client stakeholders at both senior and mid-management levels
  • Maintain sales volume, product mix and selling price by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators and competitors
  • Establish and adjust selling prices by monitoring costs, competition and supply and demand
  • Provide product, service, or equipment technical and engineering information by answering questions and requests
  • Submit orders by conferring with technical support staff; analyzing cost impact due to engineering changes
  • Comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; advising customer on product, service, or equipment adherence to requirements; advising customer on needed actions
  • Maintain and develops professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
  • Contribute to sales engineering effectiveness by identifying short-term and long-range issues that must be addressed; providing information and commentary pertinent to deliberations; recommending options and courses of action; implementing directives
  • Work in variable environments, moderate travel and field service work, changing deadlines and project assignments

Skills / Qualifications

  • A minimum of bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related business field (EE/CS degree is preferable)
  • A minimum of at least of 10 years’ experience as a sales and marketing profession with track record of sales achievement
  • Knowledgeable in Nuclear Power Plant safety/non-safety I&C system platform and/or the knowledgeable in power plant process will be a plus
  • Knowledgeable in Marketing Concepts, Sales Planning, and Competitive Analysis
  • Understanding Customer Industries, Client Relationships, Selling to Customer Needs, and Project & Software Requirements
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with management and cross-functional teams
  • Ability to prepare reports and use of appropriate mode of communication. Must be proficient at analyzing data, building reporting and making strategic recommendations based on data and trends
  • Have keen business sense (presentation skills, client relationships, negotiation, prospecting skills, sales planning, and motivation) with the ability to find creative business-oriented solutions to problems
  • Professional and self-motivated attitude and ability to deal with customers
  • Business travels are required
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
