Senior Hardware Engineer

We are currently seeking an individual who can take on the role of Senior Hardware Engineer to join our team. 
This individual will work in a R&D team, so a positive attitude and teamwork spirit is an essential. 

Responsibilities:

•    Develops, simulates, and tests embedded system hardware.
•    Develops requirement specifications, prototype test procedures, design specifications, production test procedures, and production test equipment per company’s procedure.
•    Design and test components and systems within federal, state and local codes and regulations, contract specifications, good engineering practices, and HF Controls standards.
•    Develops schematics, bills of materials and documentation to include dimensions, part numbers, wiring and assembly diagrams, standard products, logic drawings and graphics, etc.
•    Troubleshoot existing design/production and provide prompt solution per customer’s request.
•    Complies with policies, procedures, standards, and rules of the Company.  Able to work in ISO-9001 and NQA1 environment.
•    May be responsible for supervising a group or section concerned with specific projects or tasks.

Qualifications: 
•    Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering or computer science.
•    Analytical thinking with good problem-solving abilities.
•    Ability to work to strict deadlines.
•    Ability to work closely with the software development team.
•    Extensive knowledge of computer hardware, software, and electrical systems.
•    Ability to see potential problems in a system setup.
•    Attention to detail.
•    Undergraduate/advanced engineering degree in electrical engineering or other engineering discipline.
•    10-15 years related, applicable experience of embedded system hardware:
      o    Processor: Intel CPU, ARM processor, DSP processor etc.
      o    Programmable device: CPLD, FPGA etc.
      o    Memory: SDRAM, DDR, Flash, Dual-port-memory etc.
      o    Peripheral Interface: UART, SPI, I2C, Ethernet, USB, COM etc.
      o    Power rail: LDO, DC-DC etc.
      o    Analog circuit: ADC/DAC, Thermal Couple, RTD etc.
•    Ability to utilize advanced, analytical engineering hardware/software tools including Altium\Allegro\PADS, PSPICE, scope, logic analyzers, and microprocessor emulator etc.
•    Ability to develop high quality of R&D documentation including function requirement, design specification, prototype test procedure, production test procedure, production manual etc.
•    Ability to effectively identify root cause and resolve issues.


HFC considers new graduate as entry level H/W Engineer position. Under broad supervision, performs a variety of engineering work in planning, design, testing and analysis of instruments and systems, electrical equipment, and microprocessor-based and FPGA-based control systems. Work is performed with some latitude for independent action or decision within practices and procedures covered by functional precedents and policies; work is subject to peer review. Variable environments, moderate travel and field work, changing deadlines and projects of a diverse nature.
